Michael Moore and American Herbalism was founded by Dimid Hayes in April 2008. Dimid and Michael Donlan
hosted the first committee meeting in T or C in May. Present were Dimid, Michael, Daniel Gagnon, Genevieve Chavez, Deborah
Brandt, Ellen Robling, Heather Rische, and Catherine MacKenzie and Judy Harmon.
The meeting focused on purpose - fundraiser. Further, the collaborative efforts of the committee members resulted
in a view of the scope and scale of the event and many detailed items for members to take along as "homework".
We are friends, students, and acquaintances of Michael Moore, or members of the natural health community, who share a
common deep respect for his work and its impact on herbalists and the population in general. He has given much
and we have a desire to reduce some of the suffering caused by the monetary cost of his health challenges.
We know that there are a great many who will feel the same. This website and the upcoming event offer the opportunity
for all of us to make a contribution.
